She came to America with her daughters Catherine and Luise in 1875. The "Apollo" arrived in New York out of Bremen on May 31, 1875. Her sister, Maria, had come to America a few years before as did two uncles. With her husband presumably deceased and only son dead as a boy, she had little to lose by going to America with the girls. I can find no further trace of any of them.

He served in the Regiment Kurfürst until about 1805 and reached the rank of corporal. Johann Heinrich is described as a tailor in later documents. The house was numbered #24 in Leidenhofen.
