Burow Carl L. [Male] b. MAR 1840 Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - d. 25 APR 1902 Ida County, Iowa

He came to the U.S. with his family in 1893 aboard the SS Steinhöft out of Hamburg. The ship arrived in Baltimore on September 12, 1893. The family's previous residence is given in the German record as Dubberzin, Pommern (Pomerania). This eastern province is now part of Poland, and the town is called Dobrzecino.

He was known, at least sometimes, as Charles in America. In 1900 they were living in the Maple township of Ida County, Missouri. Someone named Carl Burow died in Ida County, Iowa on April 25,1902.

Riedesel Anna M. [Female] b. NOV 1880 Chicago, Cook, Illinois - d. 1966

Still single as of 1926 when her mother died. In 1930 she was a lodger in the home of Marion Wilde in Elgin, IL, though with no occupation listed in the Census. In 1937 she was employed by the WPA.
