He was apparently born at Petersgrund near Wunderthausen to his unmarried mother, Catherine Elisabeth Wetter. He is recorded under the name Johann Heinrich Braun as going to America in 1833 at the same time as the full family of Georg Gabriel Wetter (his grandfather). The latter family only stayed a few months. Being only 15 it is most likely that Braun returned with them. Yet there is no sign of him in later Wittgenstein records. It is not out of the question that he remained in Baltimore with his uncle, Georg Hermann Wetter.

Born in Neus Brückehaus/Langes in Wunderthausen. Received permission to come to America in 1841 but we don't have a ship's record for him. He settled in Tuscarawas County, Ohio His children and their descendants modified the family name.

Born in the house Auf der Leye in Wunderthausen to one of the unmarried Wetzel sisters. The best authority says her mother was Elisabeth Juliana and that her father was an Althaus (whose last name she took). Records show her sailing to New York in 1835 out of Bremen on the ship Apollo. It was a party of two, so it is almost certain that her little daughter Elisabeth was with her. Several other people from Wunderthausen were also on board.

After the Stark family left for America, he became the tenant in Jochums house. But he died shortly thereafter, leaving the widow in a bad position. The property was sold cheap to Philipp Müsse.

Recorded as going to America after having been born in Beckers Haus in Wunderthausen. Kin who came later settled in around Oxford, New Jersey, and that would be a reasonable guess as to where he went.

Mörchen Johannes [Male] b. ABT 1705 - d. America

A Johannes Mörchen from Wunderthausen is listed as emigrating to America with his wife and one child in 1738; he was born around 1705 but we don't know where. The records show a Johannes Mörchen as the father of the girl, Anna Maria, in 1737. One assumes he was related to the miller Johann Matthias Mörchen from Bromskirchen, perhaps even his brother. This Johannes is not listed in the birth records for Wunderthausen though he must have resided there.

The man in question sailed to America on the ship St. Andrew bound for Philadelphia out of Rotterdam.

Spies Anna Catherine [Female] b. ABT 1710 - d. America

We don't know where she was born or exactly when; ditto her husband, but the birth of their daughter is recorded in Wunderthausen. She went to America with her husband and daughter on the ship St. Andrew bound for Philadelphia out of Rotterdam in 1738.
