Born in Schwarze house, married into Auf Der Leye--apparently. There is some confusion between this Johannes and his supposed brother Johann Hermann. One of them married Anna Elisabeth Beitzel. There could only have been one of them.

Spies Valentin [Male] b. ABT 1630 Wunderthausen - d. BEF 1678

Tenant in Schmeds. There are no records of his birth or death, though he was certainly deceased by 1678. Experts can only make educated guesses from what records do exist. One important scholar (Jochen Karl Mehldau) proposes a birth date around 1617. But Klaus Homrighausen has more in-depth knowledge of Wunderthausen and proposes roughly 1630. The two made different reconstructions of their offspring as well. We will never know, but I lean toward the family presented here as outlined by Hr. Homrighausen.

Stark Johann Philipp Wilhelm [Male] b. 1 APR 1751 Wemlighausen - d. Prob. USA

His wife was born in Jochums Haus in Wunderthausen, and they lived there as sub-tenants. Apparently they were both poor and in debt when they sold whatever they had to travel to America. The family were among those recorded as going to America in 1796. Their actual fates are often unknown. I believe that the family name then disappeared from Wunderthausen, though it was common elsewhere in Wittgenstein.
