She was a twin, but it seems likely that both died young. Their only female godparent was named Catherine, so one the babies was no doubt given that name.

Spies Johann Georg [Male] b. ABT 1650 Wunderthausen - d. AFT 1698 Wunderthausen

Born in Schmeds house, took over Gundermanns by marriage. It was long believed that he was the son of Gundermann Spies, but expert opinion is that he was in fact the son of Valentin Spies and an unnamed mother.

Spies Gundermann [Male] b. ABT 1618 Wunderthausen - d. BEF 1680 Wunderthausen

It is unknown where he came from or even the composition of his offspring. He was the tenant/taxpayer in the house which came to be known as "Gundermanns" in Wunderthausen.

Born in Gundermanns Haus in Wunderthausen. A rare record from the time reports that he was strangled to death by a Henrich Womelsdorf, who fled to the Rhineland.

Spies Anton [Male] b. ABT 1662 Wunderthausen - d. 18 MAR 1751 Langewiese

Event: Tenant in

Born in Schmeds house. First tenant in Beckers house, Wunderthausen, which was apparently built in 1697. It probably contained a baking-house. The Count strictly controlled the number of fireplaces in each village, allocating a certain number of households to each baking-house. Records show that he died in the small village of Langewiese north and east of Wunderthausen. I don't know of any children who lived there, so this is unusual.
