Born in Petersgrund near Wunderthausen. Heinrich Imhof gives 1818 as the year he went to America. A George Herman was naturalized in 1818; the record says he was 25 which is off by a couple of years. The 1840 Census suggests seven children. Beyond that there is no clear record of him or his descendants.
