Riedesel Johann Jost [Male] b. 28 MAR 1687 Schameder - d. 15 FEB 1746 Schameder

He was not a tenant in one of the houses in Schameder. Rather he was a "Beisitzer" in Schusters, whose tenant was a Wolf. Riedesel is listed as owning some livestock, however, and was a minor official of the Count. It is my educated guess that he was therefore of higher social status and exempt from some of the many exactions borne by most other people. We know of only the two sons, who both died young.

Born in Haase Haus in Wunderthausen. Came to America with the Riedesel family, arriving in New York on June 7, 1845 (the ship appears to have been the New York). After about a dozen years near Galion, Ohio, the Homrighausen family moved on to the Wheatland area. She was the mother of 11 children but I have names of only seven.
