Born in Schäfers Haus in Wunderthausen and had her child Johann Franz before emigrating. Her obituary in the Miami Republican wrongly states that she and her husband came directly to Paola from Germany in 1871. Arrived October 25, 1854 in New Orleans on the ship "Auguste" out of Bremen and lived in Missouri before moving to Paola in 1861. She bore no other children.

The obituary mentions a surviving sister "Mrs. Mary Catherine Switzgabel of Kansas City" whom I have not been able to identify

Born in Mannes Haus in Wunderthausen. The records show her traveling to America as "Pott" and with a child in 1818. Her husband (to be) left at the same time, but it appears that they were not married at the time they applied to emigrate. The child was certainly the son known later as Johannes Riedesel or Rittase.
